Bright Dip on Copper & Brass
A bright dip for brass and copper alloys gives the base metal a shiny finish through a chemical polishing bath. The process removes oxides from the surface, leaving behind a bright metal finish. The bright dip process works well with parts that need subsequent process since it does not leave a deposit on the surface of the substrate.
First, we clean the parts to remove any oil and residue from the manufacturing process. Then, we process them with an acid-based chromate conversion coating. The coating adds shelf life and prolongs future tarnish and corrosion protection to the base material. The bright dip is a non-RoHS compliant process.
